About North Park - Origins Grocer

San Diego’s first β€˜zero-waste’ grocery store focusing on package-free, plastic-free, local, organic, and non-toxic goods.

North Park - Origins Grocer is one of the asian grocery stores listed in San Diego, California. The business is registered at 2361 30th St, San Diego, CA 92104; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in San Diego with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in California may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 am–7 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Its website is originsgrocer.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.9 out of 5 on Google across 61 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded asian grocery stores in San Diego.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in San Diego peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Origin Grocer has quickly become a staple in my weekly shopping routine! They have an amazing selection of mini bulk items and cover so many different grocery categories. Whether you’re looking for fresh finds or unique shelf-stable items, this place has it all. Definitely worth a visit if you want to diversify your pantry!

Small store, big options. Most items are healthy choices. The majority of items are bin based so you can buy as much or little as you like. BYO containers is encouraged. The grind your own peanut butter is amazing!

Wonderful shop offering bulk, local, organic, and conscientious food and body products. My favorite thing is buying only the amount you need, which is especially great for spices! I love the interesting types of rice and flours they offer. We got small amounts of a few things to try, and now we’ll definitely be back!

Very nice eco-friendly store with options for a lot of refills; from nuts and beans to flours, spices, soap, and laundry detergent. Very happy with the spice selection; they have a lot of more niche things that are hard to find in a typical supermarket like sumac, curry leaves, and white pepper. They also host many locally-made products. You can bring your own jars/bags or buy some there; they also have small paper bags if you've forgotten to bring something to carry items in. Overall a great neighborhood staple!

The Mighty Bin is the first zero waste grocery store in San Diego. This is a brand new store and I absolutely love it. All of their ingredients are super high quality and organic. This place is designed thoughtfully and accepts/gives jar donations. Don't expect a huge place, but rather a boutique experience at a fair price. If you want a delightful way to support a female-owned local business, I highly recommend checking it out. I am definitely coming back again and again.
